Die clashes, Mirror brockages, Dropped letters, Capped dies... All of these are legit errors that can have reversed images.

May not make any difference but is this one of the special 1982 pennies with the thin letters that collectors are looking for or a normal 1982 penny?

I was asked to weigh in. This is an early impression from a clashed cap. A featureless, late-stage die cap collided with the reverse die in the absence of a planchet, picking up a fresh but incomplete reverse design. This was transferred to the next few planchets, this being one of them. The incuse reverse design elements represent a secondary brockage.

No problem, the guy that owns it was very happy I kinda took it and ran with it. My gut was just telling me something...

It is a nice example of this type of error. I was fortunate to grab one off ebay a few years back.
