The following set of Mexican coins are special to me. These, and others that I will image and post later, where given to me by my mother's best friend. This was early on in my journey (I was still filling Whitman folders) and she thought I might like to have something different. After the Canadian coins I had already found in change, these are the second foreign coins in my collection. Sadly, she lost her life to cancer in 1999. Younger than I am now.

That was neat that she gave you those coins. A memory you will always have. Cancer is terrible.

Nice additions, jbuck. Those coins are very special to you, I'm sorry for your loss. Cancer is horrible.

I also have a lot of Mexican coins that were given to me many years ago, in my case by an aunt. She told me my uncle, who'd passed a short time before, had an album of coins he'd had since the 1980's which she wanted me to have, and when she gave them to me I saw they were all taped onto pages of a photo album! Not just a little tape - my uncle had carefully laid them out on the pages and completely covered them with clear packing tape. I think that was when I started keeping acetone around - it did a good job in removing all the glue from the hundred or so coins once I managed to free them...
