Impressive indeed. Do any of the coins not have holes in them?
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

Looks like some nice 75% coppers off to the right, too.

I am old enough to remember when you could go to a random bank, ask for a roll of nickels, and the whole thing would be filled with buffs. But a cigar box full of large cents? That's on a whole 'nother level.

Here you go mysilveryears, I didn't pull this one out originally. This is my big box, the others were culls. Thanks for viewing.

Just like putting a box full of candies in front of a kid Let's dig in: Key errors include: overdates (e.g., 1851/81), struck-through errors, die cracks, and rotated reverses. Rare, dramatic errors like large planchet defects, significant off-center strikes, or rare varieties like the 1796 stemless reverse can command high prices.

That is really cool. What's the story behind them? Did you accumulate over time or inherit them? Are they extras you had to collections or do you just like to keep them stored in bulk like that?

Now that's a collection, the way I remember from the old days. No slabs, no "registries", no MS-this-or-that, just great crunchy old coins in proper cigar boxes like God intended. Yay!

Thanks again for looking & comments. Pmint1, I used to buy a lot of coins on ebay 15-20 years ago. I attempted to a complete Large cent book set, wrong. One of the most difficult sets to complete, with all the different varieties. I did complete my Indian & Lincoln book sets.
