Thanks, EV.

That's okay, seamonkey. I think it will be a slow process with this one. I need to go back to the coin shop that I was at a few weeks back that has random Ike dollars for 2 bucks!

Heck, if you have a selection of local coin shops, you should appreciate that luxury, heh!
I haven't been to mine yet to check out Ike dollars. But, without competition, other than ebay and Craigslist, they aren't known for great prices. Although the word coin appears in their name, they are primarily a jewelry store that does coins on the side. To be honest, I hadn't even considered them. But you've forced me to.
An 11 mile drive with a high probability of returning empty handed isn't exactly enticing. But holy cow, $2 apiece? I'll have to stop in next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Nice additions to your collection to this point!

We shall see... I reckon that the SBA will probably be done before the Ike dollars.

I suppose so! However, only one of them is really in my actual direct area. The others are a bit of a drive or rather "visit when in the area" kind of scenario.

Luckily, the one that is the closest to me is actually the best one and they have an assortment of things. Boxes of coins to go through and pick from, among other things. Most people go there are into bullion.

Thanks! I look forward to adding more. I really wanted that 1971-S silver/clad Ike dollar for 9 bucks, but yeah... It came out to around 23 bucks. Which isn't bad... But I was sent there with a budget

Yes, yes they are. Maybe. Lol.
I'm finding trying to gather together Ike dollars a bit more interesting at the moment honestly.

I have some coming from ebay
I recently ordered 1971-P, 1976-P, 1976-P type 2, and 1976-D type 2.

Didn't do too bad. They were under 5 dollars. Trying to find some decent clad proofs as well.

A little bit of progress When I initially got these, the 76 type l and ll, I was like, uhhh... once I get them out of the packaging...
I don't know how to tell the difference between the two varieties. Lol. I think I figured it out, though.

Ahh. Didn't even think of that! I was going off of the letters on the obverse.

I was given to think that the letters on the obverse were quite different.
