I was going to ask how & why this coin was struck, but I searched it up instead.

This is a great piece.....
Im fortunate to own a Pattern Indian Head cent struck in aluminum.....these are all very rare! I have been watching this auction as a spectator (not planning on bidding at this price point).

This coin previously sold in 2020 for $21,600.

$19250 with the buyers fee. Getting close to the last sale price. I'm thinking it goes over the last sold price.

The bidding here went absolutely insane. Sold for $38,250, consignor must be elated in this one!

Here is my aluminum example. 1863w/L in PF63+. This is one of only 3 traced (might be a 4th out there). I'm considering selling it after seeing this sale!
