Having a spare $125.00 and getting a free $125.00 in coins is 2 entirely different things.
When I get a spare $125.00 I blow it on stuff like fishing or gas. Going Bluefishing and for Stripers this coming Sunday in Point Pleasant NJ.

If I could get $125.00 worth of free coins, I would probably try to get the best 1949 D over S
and
1946 D over inverted D Jefferson nickels I could in circulated grades to complete my Top 10 Jefferson varieties.
Give me $1250.00 and its a No S 1971 Proof nickel.

Oh, if it were a $50.00 box of 2009 P or especially D nickels and 2009 cents, that is a no brainer.
However, it was not specific so as to what the boxes would be so I voted other.

Other. $125 wont buy any one of the last three Lincoln Cents I need, so I would put it towards as many Indian Head cents or Buffalo nickels as I could get!

Not a bad grab for that amount of money.

Personally I would do what you would have done, Yotie (assuming I was spending it on coins). Just pick up a lot of "cheaper" coins and then the rolls of cents. I have a hard time at this stage in collecting of purging $125 on one item. However I seem to have an easy time of spending $125+ when tempted with multiple items.

Maybe a month ago, I would have said a key date, cause I was working on wheaties then. Now I'd get a couple or three nice, early coins for my type set.

oh lordy don't buy silver and gold right now. Q2 earnings results are coming out soon and they're all looking dull. And when the economy goes down, the dollar and yen goes up as a haven currency.

Buy a key date, please!

Have you looked at the price of gasoline lately?
I'd use that to fill my gas tank so I could go to a coin show and tell them all I would buy something but I just spent all my money for gas.
