The seller of that item did not have very much information on that Flying Eagle cent. Plus the toning on that coin makes me feel like I'm on drugs or something.

I see a lot of this disgustingness on ebay these days. It is so sad

Unfortunately, what can ebay do about it. They have no idea what natural toning looks like so really, there is nothing they can do. Educating new collectors in the attributes of natural toning is really the only way. Just wish we can get to them in time before putting a bid on something like this

Either this new listing is a different cent, or the same one.

The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.

Had to go hold it with tongs in a different spot to tone those blank spots from the first time around at 8 and 10 o'clock.

what does it mean?

It means that the seller is an idiot

How about the buyer?

I hope everyone sees the scratches from the obvious cleaning.

This kind of crap makes honest sellers look like idiots too.

Saddest is seeing a fine specimen ruined

What about this penny?

http://cgi.ebay.com/1863-RAINBOW-TO...ny_W0QQitemZ250482817458QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_US_Individual?hash=item3a51f079b2&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14#ht_500wt_1101

Notice the description is just the title being repeated. The seller gives no information on the condition of the coin.
