Well, looks like I won't be buying any of those on ebay for a while.
Thanks Bio, I can think of a lot of coins that would be interesting and profitable conterfits,,,but the Susan B never entered my mind.

Ummmm. I think you would all be surprised how many commond date Walking Liberty halves there are or Barber Halves/Quarters/Dimes.

If you have more than a few in your collection, you most likely have at least one counterfeit.

Why? Because no one pays attention - they're much easier to pass off. How pulls out a 20x loupe for a 1944 Walker in VG condition?

I guess when your a crook you'll do anything.

Seems strange to counterfeit SBA or Sac dollars, but then nothing surprises me anymore.

All my walkers sound like silver, so if they are counterfeit, they used the right metal. Not really buying that I have any fakes on them.

sure it isn't real with a lot of post mint damage, I am thinking nailed to something, soaked in mild acid, then left in a parking lot for a month?

If you lived in a city with parking meters and had to pay everyday it adds up quick
