I got the coin today  . I'm really suprised at how quickly it got here. Thanks for an awesome contest and an awesome coin! I'll post pics tomorrow or the next day. Thanks again. Edit Here are the pics:   Any info on the coin you could give me would be cool. Like who is depicted and why the windmills, etc. Great contest and look forward to another.

I'm glad you like it. This is Don Quijote de la Mancha with the windmills. The coins is a commemorative coin and its mintage is 2,000,000.

My friends and I speculated that it was Don Quijote after I showed them the coin. They were telling me about the part in the book when he attacks the windmill. Makes the coin even better picturing an old man trying to kill a windmill  .

I have a metal sculpture on my desk made out of nuts and bolts and screws that is Don Quixote. Ir is painted black and stands about 10 inches high. His shield is missing but I have a replacement that looks OK.
