No, sorry, there are no near or far leaf varieties for the tombacs.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Hi. Someone wants to sell me the 1953 nickel with the far leaf and shoulder fold. How much would be a reasonable offer since it's less rare than the far leaf and NSF. Thanks.

That coin is NSF far leaves. Worth less than a buck.

Thanks DBM. I'm confused if this is the rare or common type. You said "it's rare only if it is found with an NSF obverse." Does that make this one the rare variety?

Typo, sorry.
The coin in your pics is the common NSF far leaves variety.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Hi there, I was hoping that someone could help me out and tell me the grade and value of this 1953 nickel I have, it is just alot easier to go on here and do it then to go find a coin shop when you dont have a liscence! thank you in advance!   |

Can't really give an accurate grade from those pics, but it may be uncirculated and maybe trails on the reverse(?). Tough to tell for certain, but it looks like the NSF far leaf variety. Hard to tell from those pictures, but from what I can see, I would say it is a NSF Far Leaf.
No way of telling grade, but if it is in MS condition, it may be worth a couple of dollars.

How's this for a Coinstar find?   Considering where found, I would assume this is a common variety, but just want to be sure. I know next to nothing about Canadian coins though I do have a few. |
