I think you are very safe Coin Guy. Orders over 3320xxxx are iffy.
There's a guy on CU who placed an order at 11:30p.m. ET tonight and got order # 3321xxxx. I think he's gonna be out of luck, but you never know how many cancellations there will be....

If you got an e-mail with a header like this:
Order Receipt-Order #3318XXXX Thursday, October 15, 2009 2:18 From:"USMint-Orders@catalog.usmint.gov"
That is your order confirmation. Shipping confirmation will come later - sometimes MUCH later.

Coin Guy, did you try calling? I got through in the first 5 minutes, but the mint web site never worked for at least an hour and half.

Lets play by the numbers, I placed an order on the mints site @12:13 p m yesterday, just 13 minutes in to the sale, my order number was 331594xx, a friend called me last night at approx, 10 p m and placed an order, his #was 332139xx, my math says , 54,500 plus sets were sold or at least the order #'s are that high.......With all said, every one will know for sure if they were lucky, once it is in your hands, or the shipping confirmation E-Mail comes, to me, the same thing.....I believe they started around 33159000, just my opinion....

Or get one like this; Order Cancellation; Greetings from the United States Mint. The following order has been cancelled either at your request or because we were unable to process it. We invite you to resubmit the order via our website at http://www.usmint.gov and click on Product Catalog. It's not a good thing.

its funny how the numbers thing works. I actually placed an order 6 mins before my mom according to the mint. I was on the phone with her so I knew I got it before she did. but I checked and my order number is higher than hers. so I think the numbers were random

"My" mom ended up trying again to place the order for me......... the next day.. ...and "still" got her order in " with" a conformation number as well......same email I got anyway........so.....we'll see. 33164xxx was my number...(i got it ordered successfully somewhere in the first 1-2 hours or so. I don't know mom's order number....but I sure would like to think that she got it in there in time ! .... But, I still have a "wait & see" attitude with this frenzy kind of ordering !......I'll just "wait & see" if I ACTUALLY get it ! Two would be so sweet !Anybody know what the ebay frenzy-machine is showing for these today ?...over the weekend ? Are they climbing steadily in value ? Are they holding at about $250.00 or so ? Going down now ?...... Just curious ....

they seemed to settle into between 125 and 175 average. I would suspect about 6 months they will be around 75

with the price range right now as being correct but I dont think they will go below a 100 bucks for a while if ever. If the s mint turns to be true "which I think was a misprint" you can bet they will stay high. I see this thing holding a decent value for a while b/c its so popular.
