The only 'D' associated with this coin is the grade the seller gets for his sales tactics.

The auction ended at $13.50.

Only about $11.00 too much, if you ask me...

I paid double that for a 1916-S Merc last year,
but my '16-S is AU-58!

I just want to know how someone could see a "D" there and then shell out over 13 bucks... doesn't seem like common sense to me...

Trying to pull? He did 'pull'! He got $13.50 for a $2.50
Dime, because some sucker thought it could be a "D".

The seller didn't break any rules, because he didn't actually say that it's a "D", he said "you decide".

This is like putting up a polished XF Wheat cent and saying "you grade it from the pictures",
they hope a sucker will think it's uncirculated....

If only someone would decide that my '16-S is a "D", and pay me
accordingly...

hmmmmmmmmm..........

see ya, I have to go post some coins on ebay.

Right here folks, a 1922 plain Lincoln Cent.
the really rare one, where the D is still there!

Opening bid: only $1,000.

Bid early so you don't lose it.

A sucker born every minute on ebay and a seller who knew exactly what he had, laughing all the way to the bank.
