Monex products made by USVI Ingot Company, The Silver Eagle and the Trade Eagle. They were struck on a hydraulic press and have finished serrated edges. I believe the press and die sets became property of Monex and production moved to their facility. Planchets were punched from extruded ribbon, weight checked and adjusted, burnished, stamped. Cleanliness was essential, white glove clean, because any oil or grease created ghostly marks on the finished ingot.

USVI Ingot, I have an loaf ingot marked 190 (1981) on the reverse. This is the highest I have found. Came to me in a bunch of other bars/coins. Any idea of the rarity of this? Aaron

Hi and welcome to the forum, Aaron.
USVI Ingot doesn't come onto the forum very often, so it might be a while before they reply.
I'm not aware of any premium given to particular ingots; even if some are "scarcer" than others, virtually no-one is collecting them specifically. The ones with themes might appeal to collectors, but the generic bars probably don't.

Aaron, what does the front of the bar look like? Which Design? I have been working on a USVI ingot type set for a few years and could give you an idea of the value, if not I can contact USVI Ingot. I have her email address and get any info you need. Thanks

Just checking in to keep this forum alive. I am an avid collector of the USVI silver bars and wanted to connect with others that collect too. 5 years since the last post is a long time. Are any of the folks that started and contributed to this topic still around?

New member here. Deeply interested by this USVI collection but struggle to find any in the UK. Bought a few 1oz bars from the US via ebay. Would love to eventually have the listed collection but the prices are high. I've contacted ebay sellers to try buy in bulk (3 or above) to reduce the shipping fees. I've sourced a Large 1 and would love some of the early rounds, but those have quite the premium.
