Scary is right--that auction closed at $1,025.00 ebay better intervene--it's counterfeiting and a trademark violation.

that was definitely a fake, I didn't see this topic until just now but that Trade dollar shouldn't have fooled anyone and if they didn't notice that the slab is all wrong also. I have to say that is the worst looking slab I have seen in some time, the label is very badly made and the plastic shell is to clear. Not to mention the other markers missing on the shell that original PCGS slabs have. looked through his other auctions and he has a Sacky that looks like a fake slab as well, not 100% sure about the Morgan though, the case doesn't look exactly right but it has the sonic sealed circles Does George look a little snarly in this picture to anyone else

That's why I
1) stay clear of coins in China 2) stay clear of E-Bay 3) am really concerned what will happen as this slop floods the market and inexperienced collectors like myself get fleeced. I now question every coin I see in case it is fake.

PCGS needs to photograph the coins they put in holders and and keep a database like heritage does. I think NGC is doing this now.

Quote: I now question every coin I see in case it is fake that is going to be the best thing anyone can do. Question everything and only purchase when it checks out as legit

I see they removed the auction , hope whoever won the auction either didn't already pay or will be able to get a refund if they did. Does anyone remember the sellers ID ?

I feel very sorry for the buyers who purchased coins from this seller in the past. Perhaps ebay should notify these buyers to have someone examine the coins.

I see they are not selling any graded coins right now but everything they are offering is suspect even the bullion bars because I have even seen those fake also

This is a case where "top-rated", 99% seller means nothing. Given their current items, they should be banned forever.
