I voted twice a week, but it really varies based on the other stuff I have going on. I think I would do it a lot more if the banks carried the coin they used to. Of course, sicne we are into a cashless society now, they usually don't even have a box of nickels to spare. The cents and qtrs seem to be the only stuff left in ample supply.

Usually 2 or 3 times a week. I've got a standing-order for 1 box of halves at my personal bank, and I usually go through a couple of boxes of cents inbetween.

I usually search a few times a week. Only a few rolls on any given day though. You guys doing a box a day are machines!

Pretty much every day. I normally only miss a day because I run out of material.

I get to search once a week because the banks closed when I'm not at work. How much is a box of nickels? I know the pennies are 25 bucks but never asked about any of the other denoms. how much is a box of halves (if they have them)

Every day. Pickup on lunch hour, search after the kids are in bed. Dump on the lunch run and pick up and start all over. Stock up on Fridays for the weekends.

I do a box of halves every week and usually a box of nickels. I've had some good success with Brinks boxes for nickels, but stick to NF String for the halves.

For me it is a time issue. When I have the time and the money I am happy to buy a box of pennies to search assuming the bank has one to give me. They keep running out though and I simply can't imagine why . A thorough search of a box runs a minimum of 3 hours plus however long it takes me to cherry pick and put in 2 x 2's the coins I want to keep. I am also spending a lot of time studying the numismatic books I have been buying of late. This is cutting into my searching boxes time as well as my spare cash for coins. Eventually I will get all of the books I want/need and will have read them so I can get back to "fully" investing my "spare" time in searching rolls. Happy hunting! Sincerely, John Leckrone

My son and I hunt almost every day. Most days, I trade in $25 dollars in rolled change. First I ask if there are any half dollars or silver dollars, then I trade the rest (usually all $25) for whatever Simon has requested. Tomorrow it will be five rolls of dimes. Our most common assortment is one roll of quarters, one roll of dimes, four rolls of nickels, and four rolls of pennies. We're planning on a box of pennies on Friday. On Saturday, I'll trade in what we get through on Friday, even though it won't likely be the whole box.

I go to the bank every two weeks and get $10.00 in cents, $10.00 in nickels and $20.00 in dimes. I usually only get a couple of Wheats every time I search, I have only gotten a couple of Buffalos and no silver dimes to date.

For those of you that roll hunt daily, do you just walk into different banks each day and ask for rolls (and buy them at face value) or do you stay with one bank and have them order them for you (I assume you would then pay a fee)? If you do have them ordered, what does the fee run?
I typically select a random bank and go in and ask, never pay more than face, since there is always another bank out there. I certainly do get my fair share of confused tellers. Why do you want $100 in nickels... As of late, it has certainly been a little more difficult to get rolls at face.
I typically search daily for a couple weeks then take a few months off. It seems like I am pressing my luck at some banks as far as getting and dumping, so that is why I back off for a while.. I can't even walk into my bank to get rolls at face. I did not like that new policy.

I love roll hunting Lincoln cents...buy a Reserve box twice a week...most always find very nice early 60's...as if someone just put them back into circulation the day before...love it.
