Got both the VDB 1909-S and the 1916-D back from ANACS today... both altered mintmarks. Oh well, back to looking up Morgans and Mercuries.
In the meantime, what are some creative things to do with the fakes?

As grandma says, "a week ago, I didn't even know I had it," so I can't feel too disappointed. It was a new experience to ship it off, and it was fun anticipating it for a week. |

you know what, I know these coins never belonged to me, but I feel your pain. I would have them checked again. that is of course if you arent satisfied. but I guess if ANACS is the best, then they are fakes. if it were me, I would get a 2nd or 3rd opinion....
