Thanks for all the comments. I guess now when I open boxes of dimes I have to inspect them more thoroughly (especially on those dark sided coins).

Pretty sweet! Is that the first one of those to be found on the forum or has anyone else scored one?

Barber in nice shape! Those clear plastic coin condoms drive me nuts, as here in Mich there are too many Canadians peppered in them, I end up tearing out of the rolls just to find Canadian non-silver. A year ago, I found a total of 6 Barber dimes in a 12-box order that I searched; got a couple mercs and about 27 silvers total from the 12 boxes....then I had to dump the clad, which by now is routine for me but I do not re-roll obviously, and I avoid coin counters like the plague, they are a total rip-off if not calibrated and they count too many dimes as cents.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

hey would you mind taking a picture of the rims, by any chance?
rim searching, I often pass over these really dark ones, so I'm trying to get an idea of what to look for.

When you edge search you pull anything that looks different. Too dark? Pull it. Too white? Pull it. Too new? Pull it. You can never look at too many coins!
You'll still miss errors and some of the proofs edge searching but you should get all the silver.
