I used this one recently: Needed AA batteries, but only had AAA's, which are smaller of course. Used a copper penny or two to complete the electric connection.

Fun thread :)

Ok, I read through and maybe missed this obvious one?

How about a LUCKY PENNY, LUCKY DOLLAR etc etc

I gave my landlord one of my old 100 year Wheats someone gave me. I put it on a Christmas card for him to have as a 100 year old lucky penny(he's 80-something!) He liked it :)

Hi all!

I used this one to get out of school. Rub a penny on your jeans leg (heat from friction) then put it under your tongue to get the thermometer to read higher. Just don't rub too long or you'll be busted when it reads like 120! Yeah, I know. That penny was probably crawling with germs!

The next one is one of my favorites, but never had to do. Payback the IRS in pennies!
