Why would anyone want to buy at this price when you can still get it from the mint at $800. I wonder how long it'll take for a sell out?

oh he will be holding onto it for awhile unless th mint sells all 300k of them. I know alot of people said they wasn't going to buy one but now that everyone is posting pictures of them I think there is going to be a small surge in sales again like it was on the first day just in a smaller scale because it really is a beautiful coin that is well worth the 800 bucks, and if they change the design next year (which they arent sure if they will or not) these will probably skyrocket in price when the bullion gold Buffalo may just sell for a small premium over spot

The only reason that I would think people would pay that much for the coin is if they didn't know it could be ordered for $500 less from the mint.

According to CoinWorld, this design can(I'm not sure whether its WILL) be issued in 2007 as the legislation was for one year and since sales started mid 2006 they can do the same design for 2007.

Yes, and they could potentially mint this coin like the AGE series.

What size are these coins? Larger or smaller than a nickel?

LOL, what do you think are the chances of picking one up "in change"?

It does have a face value of $50....someone, someday will try and spend one.

The coin is a 1 oz coin. I do not have mine yet, but I think it is about the size of a Morgan. I do not think anyone would try to spend one of these for $50.00

Hmmm... I would like to see the 24k 1 oz Morgan Piece, that would look cool in 2007
or one of the older coins, Bust or liberty Seated.

They are beautiful. It's nice to see an attractive design coming out of the Mint.

Morganman, what happened to your pic?
