Ok guys, please look carefully at the Plain 6...
look at the top part inside, look at the angles of the inside top....
this is a plain 6 ONLY if you stretch the facts a lot...and I mean an awful lot....

I've been comparing it to dozens of other 1886's, and all I am seeing is a plain 6, sorry hhb!

Could be 6/6,not a 6/7,any obverse wouldn't be a surprise.

simply, I am asking again, and maybe I am wrong....BUT check the outline of the 6, inside, top part..
this 6 only shows up on an obv 2....
NOT on an obv 5, as this is without a doubt
again... maybe I am totally out to lunch...
if so... well, I am not 20 any more...not as sharp any more....

I've reversed, changed and formatted that image a dozen ways and I can't see a thing. If you're seeing something then it's too subtle in the photo for us to see.

Ok, you guys be the judge...
here are Images. Unfortunately I do only have the Charlton Plain 6 and nothing else to compare it with.

I suspect its just wear making it appear different from the plain 6 in Charlton. I may be wrong, but it still appears like a plain 6 to me.

Anyone else care to input now that more info is available?

Why not send it in to ICCS or CCCS and see what they say?

If it is wear from usage, it wears away...and does not add or completely change angels...

So you're saying it's a 6/6 that's worn down to this configuration?

No, I think it is a large knob 6...
considering the obv is 5...
i blieve it is a so far unknown variety..
if you look at the 6, there are too may differences for it to be a plain 6... just does not match...
and it is not anything over something either... there are NO traces of it...
