I have a 2000 and a 2003 proof cent I could send your way. Do you happen to have a 2010 p or d dime?

I'm not positive, but I think the proof holes in the Dansco are only for the 1975-S and later coins. You can put proof coins in the earlier slots, but there is not an extra slot for proof coins for the earlier dates.

Yes, the proof only issues start in 1975

hmm.. nice. nice.. too bad they dont make the slots for them pre74...
i read on your other thread about focusing on 1 set.. I'm O.C.D.. and get side tracked a lot. I was doing the pre64 quarters for a while. and pennies would go better with my budget the nicer the coin gets, compared to the quarter, which is a little much right now. I can only afford g-XF if I'm lucky..

Yeah well I ain't doing so good focusing right now. At the moment I'm working on my Lincolns, my Walkers, My Roosevelt's, Kennedy's, Wsh. Quarters and proof Franklin's. It does get easier though on the moderns once you get them completed, then you just have to worry about keeping them up to date, which I thought I would never see a 2009 dime. Now I have those and cant find the 2010's!

I dont like proofs(all my danscos are non-proofs), to me coin collecting is a hunt for coins. The biz strikes are out there can you find them? Every one has proof's for sale and the only way to get them was to buy them from the mint. They are cheap because no demand. Biz strike coins have history! Proofs have a min or two of history going from the celo to the book. JMO...

i am not crazy about the proof in the book either. My dansco is with proofs b.c I purchased it off a ccf member here, and it had coins in it. I dont like the fact that it has the 22 no D in the dansco either. That to me it is a penny that was struck with a worn out die that cost a lot of money that I dont want to spend . but I also dont want a hole there so I will probably get a weak d and stick it in there.i guess thats my 2 cents

You could even purchase a blank US Cents Dansco, and have unlimited customization options. I have both the with and without proofs albums. I will be purchasing the blank. You could create proof only pages, and keep proofs and MS coins together and seperate. Then you would get better flow of the luster in the MS portion without having interuptions with proof entries every 3 coins starting in 1975. Also, you can always add blank pages when needed. I believe the Dansco with proofs has 9 pages, and the blank has less. You also would not feel obligated to filling a 1922 no D or placing a 1909-S-VDB in an album. Neither of which are coins you should put in there.

Quote: hmm.. nice. nice.. too bad they dont make the slots for them pre74... They same thing happens with the Jefferson nickel album and the pre-1971 proofs. My solution was to get the 7xxx series albums (no proofs) and add a blank page for the 1968+ proofs.
