delaner Pillar of the Community United States 870 Posts	Posted 06/17/2010 8:04 pm Well, I'll get things started - these are "Fugio Coppers" or "Franklin Cents" - the first coins issued for the Federal Government of the new United States. Although Benjamin Franklin didn't necessarily design these (as he did the Continental Currency pieces), his "MIND YOUR BUSINESS" motto allows him credit, and the design isn't far off of the coinage he penned. To me, these are among the most important and interesting American pieces ever made. I dig!! :D Report this Post to the Staff
