I happen to have an 09-s vdb that was found by an antique furniture dealer. The drawer of a desk he bought was jammed shut and when he opened it there were about 50 loose coins. He put them on ebay with that story,terrible pics, and not knowing coins, he didn't know what he had. Needless to say, I won the auction for $308 (based on the silver coins I could identify)....let me tell you that was a surprise ! So yes, there is always hope. |

I've found a 1909 VDB in circulation but no "s" unfortunately. What a great find!

Through the years I have found a total of four 1909VDB's grading anywhere from AU down to one that was barely identifiable. Always look to see if that "S" is there; no luck yet! Don't lock this post; new collectors to the site need to see this and know that miracles can happen! It's like hitting the lottery.
