I'm new to this forum. I found this place through a search engine and am glad I did. I was lurking for a little while just checking this place out. The thing that sold me on it (well many things) was the wealth of info here. The wide range of topics. The no. 1 thing was the friendliness of the members. That makes all the difference to me. I've lurked on other forums and still do from time to time, but the respect that is shown here is fantastic. You don't get slammed into the ground if you don't know as much as the next guy as I have seen elsewhere. I feel right at home here. I have a buddy that also collects and I will be telling him about this place later today as a matter of fact.

I have to agree with Southern Yankee, it was the friendliness and patience of the members here that encouraged me to join. No matter how stupid my question is, it always gets answered politely! Also, this forum is even suitable for my eight-year-old son to visit, and how many forum's can claim that?

Thanks Sap for the #'s! That's just amazing!
I too was just wandering around the internet a few short months ago and ran across a link to our wonderful Community! Being involved here has helped me so much to understand some of the things that just aren't explained well enough in the books and lack the personal touches that the books do! I too have asked some pretty dumb questions and also have made some stupid sounding remarks along the way but, each and every time was treated with respect.
Some of the discussions get a little too routy, from time to time, but we all can agree to disagree like Adults but, we can also act like Children and noone laughs at us! We all laugh WITH one another! So, not only is the CCF educational but, it's fun!
Other than the incredible knowledge and that which it is taught and learned, are the friendships and trust that has come about from this forum!
Mom and Dad and crew are doing a fantastic job of keeping our Forum "Family Friendly" and that's tough to do in today's World. Thanks to all for their incredible efforts and time dedicated to this beautiful Hobby and Investment of all of ours.
(ps: Didn't I originally post this somewhere else or am I losing my last "marble"?)

I haven't figured out what a "crad" is yet (a coin with a Cud?), but that's OK. CCF growth is reflective of the quality of its membership which is relective of the founders of the group, Bobby and Susan who weaned me off other forums in CCF's early days. As mentioned by just about everyone, CCF is family-oriented with a plethora of expertise and membership willing to share their knowledge. We shall continue to grow as long as we keep the Founders' intent and direction in the forefront and I don't see anything to indicate that this will change. I haven't visited another coin forum in months (I can't think of any exceptions for specific topics which might have been referenced in particular threads) and don't see any reason to do so. My numismatic needs are met here. I'm also seeing CCF coming up on the search engines (primarily Google for me) very near or at the top when I search for a specific items. Fred

I've been a CoinCommunity Family member for just over a year now, and I certainly agree with what the newer members have found. CCF consists of knowledgable, friendly, kind and caring people.
There's not a day passes, if I'm home, that I don't check out the forum and see what new things I can learn.

I agree with everyone about how friendly it is. I also think a big thing that makes this site so great is the large amount of collector from other countries. I don't know any other board who has as main as this. So with the members form other countries it make it so we all can see some great coins plus they just add to the the depth of knowlegde on all of our subjects.

djluster is absolutely correct about members from other countries.
I have traded coins with four Australians, and not only have the trades been great, I consider the four my friends even though I have never met them!
