FS is for Fivaz-Stanton, the authors of the Cherrypicker's Guide who created the nomenclature system for CPG varieties.

FS-901 is a Fivaz-Stanton variety number which means it should be listed in the Cherrypicker's guide (athored by Fivaz and Stanton). Personally, I have a hard time remembering their numbering system, especially since they changed a lot of it a few years (5+ years? ) ago.

so I wonder if putting this thing up for auction on this site will not get me as much if I do ebay.... I started it at $150.. knowing that this coin on PCGS is worth about $225... thoughts? ebay or CCF? |

I'm not sure if you can get the PCGS price for it since that is usually high but I would think your chance on ebay would be greater. |

The only thing on ebay to compare it to sold for $225, but it was PCGS MS63. I might have gone the Teletrade or Heritage route with this one. |

Congrats! Did you post this one in the grading forum? I'm curious to see if my grade estimate matched PCGS.
Good luck on your sale! I got $550 for my NGC MS-65 that I found roll searching and I kept my MS-62/63 raw coin for my collection.
