Thanks for the contest! Not sure if this has been guessed before, but I'll try a damaged gold escudo.
Does that fit the guidelines of guessing, or do I need more specific derails?

I can see people are pretty stumped, so I'll give out the next clue a little early by adding it to the list. ALL of these clues are very relevant to the coin.
List of clues:
First clue: "The coin is somewhat similar but drastically different at the same time(this was in reference to the $1 indian gold)"
Second clue: "Some might think it's like PMD(Post Mint Damage)."
Third clue: "It will fit snuggly in one of the 2 empty holes."
Fourth clue: "Don't get shot by cupid".
