I really hope so. What a useless series of coins. Dreck!

Can't wait for the return to BU... that being said, I'll be buying a few more 2010 mint sets pretty soon here :)

Of course, we can assume that the prices will not be retreating.

It costs more to mint the satin finish coins. Returning to the old way while maintaining the prices will increase profits.

I cant find information on AMPEX anymore regarding the 5 oz silver ATB's!! They were listed but now they are not! This is so stressful! Anyone know who else is planning on selling them?

I kind of like the SMS coins, it's something different. I currently have 3 of the 5 State Quarters in SMS, both P and D mints. I just need to pick up the last two to finish the year.

The satin finish might not have bothered me as much if they had not started it midway though the Statehood Quarter series.

America the Beautiful. The current quarter series. Also known as the National Parks Quarters, although many of them will not be depicting a National Park.

I should do a poll trying to predict the price of the 5oz ATB's. What I really want now is for Dansco to include Satin's in their folders. It would be in their best interest in my opinion as a majority of us would probably buy new folders.

Albums, not folders.

I think, that if the "Satins" are truly nearly over and done with next year, then eventually Dansco would "HAVE" to recognize the different coin. And it would only be a handful of years for these "Satins"....in the "albums".
The extra holes showing this, years from now, will be a "must"..... and as happy as I will be to see the Satins go....they still should be recognized as a different coin nonetheless.
It is a Mint issued coin, after-all.

My bad "albums". Don't know what I was thinking there. I really like Dansco products but I find the lettering on the outside of the albums somewhat hard to read. I have tried other products such as Lighthouse, Littleton, and Whitman, they all seem to have their strengths and weaknesses, but the interior of the Dansco's are the best. I just wish they had picked a different font.

You can always create your own labels. It may be more trouble than it is worth, but it is not impossible to make something that looks like it belongs.

You can also consider replacing all of you binders with unprinted ones, then have them screened locally with the font and colour of your choosing. Again, probably more trouble (and monetary cost) than you want, but again, it is an option.

Personally, given all of that, I feel that I can live with the gold font as it is.

Littleton makes albums as well, but in my opinion they feel cheaper than Dansco or Whitman. Personally, I use Dansco, but Whitman is a viable alternative.
