Stupendous coin. Slam-dunk 65 from any TPG. Huge strike. I'd love to hold this one in my hand and decide in person if it deserved 66.

Too many marks I think for a 66 could make 65 if you get a friendly TPG. They are tough on Peace dollars, however. Some really gorgeous coins come back 64. |

Unless there is something hiding behind the glare on the reverse....MS-66. Beautiful

Thanks for all the grades and comments. This coin popped up on ebay last night while I was looking at some MS65 Peace dollars. It was listed while I was looking, so I grabbed it for $94 delivered. The obverse strike is strong for a low-relief Peace and it sure looked like a solid 65 to me. Happy Collecting!  |

Well she showed up today and I'm happy for $94. The obverse is absolutely stunning and every bit a 65+ and possibly even at the 66 level. The reverse is not nearly as strong though and I'd grade the reverse 64. It's clear the obverse carried the coin. Here's my images:   Edited by BH1964

This is a wonderful coin with great eye appeal I would give it a MS-65+ due to the fact it has so few marks and as I mentioned eye appeal

I know you already posted the grade, but I was thinking MS 65 also. Very clean fields, and better than average strike, vaulting it into the gem category, but I'll agree with ICG on the grade, since I'd want to see a really diesel strike to go 66.
