Some of us "little people" do not have $20,000.00 to part with for a full set of these anyway !! And we're just going to get one or two....and even THAT is just a "maybe" !!...  |

Just got off the phone with APMEX and they said, "call us back on the seventh and we will tell you what the price is, how many we'll let you buy, and when you will get them." This looks like a crazy ride coming up! eaglefoot I meant a set of the first five. I dont have 20 k either. The $750+ for the set of five is going to be a real stretch! Edited by captainkurt

The Mint says they'll be selling them to the authorized dealers at spot + $9.95 per coin.

I just got shut down by every other dealer listed above. So much for getting these things. By the time I get a chance at one of them I bet that $9 premium will be 10x higher. Cant wait to see the 'pre-sales' pop up on ebay soon. It'll be nuts! |

APMEX is listing the set of 5 for $1,400   So, even if silver is $30/oz - they're buying that coin for $160 and selling it for $280. That's one heckuva markup.

I dont know what to do! That is twice the price I expected to pay! I really want them but can that price be justified? Will the secondary market hold for these things? I just don't know. Also, with the mint selling them later don't you all think they will be selling them for the same inflated prices? Man, this just sux!!

50% mark up is crazy. why do people pay so much for modern commerative type coins? Buy some certified key dates instead. JMHO.

Does anyone know how much the numismatic/uncirculated versions that carry the "P" mint mark. will cost ?
