mcshilling, Grading is an opinion, don't be afraid to post yours. If this coin was sent in I think it has a 50/50 shot at either bing AU58 or MS63 brown. It hard to tell from pictures if there is slight wear on the ear and there is surely some dings ont he rim and right wheat stalk.

I just saw you cheat with photobucket. LOL Come on, get those pics down under 100k so the forum can host 'em. The bad thing about the bucket is your pics eventually kick the bucket and get removed. I'm going to have to say MS60.
There's a hit under the chin. On the reverse, we have a hit on the right wheat stalk, and under the stem of the right stalk. There also appear to be hits on the O, N, C, and T in One Cent, a couple more on the N and I in United, and a small under the M in Unum.
I've heard that I'm really strict though :(

If I use Photobucket, I can keep the pics at 640 X 480 or sometimes I use 800 X 600. At those sizes, I can't seem get the files under 100kb (or at least I haven't figured out a way  ) Thanks everyone for the feedback! |

How much red do you need to be RB, my uneducated guess is not enough here
and it would be brown. This coin would definitely grade BN. There is not nearly enough red left to get RB. I could be wrong, but if I remember right, RB is defined as having anywhere between 5% to 95% red left (someone correct me if I'm wrong), which doesn't narrow it down a whole lot. I love looking for RB coins that are more red than brown. They can often be had at significant discounts from RD coins and usually look very nearly as nice. |

I believe RD=95% red or better, BN=<5% of red, with the rest being RB. I could be wrong, but that's how I understood it.

I've used Paint Shop Pro since 1995. Used to teach it online. I beta tested for JASC and got version 6.0 for the work. Still have it but I've moved on to the GIMP because it supports a transparency layer in my PNGs. It's free too! Also, the elliptical cropping tool is the bomb.

The coin is definitely brown - no shot at red/brown.
The fields are nice, the strike is good. No reason why it wouldn't grade MS64BN. I would pay that money for it.
