I cannot even remember the last time I saw a pay phone. I am beginning to wonder if they are there and I just do not notice them.

Plus I look at it this way there's very few sane people out there anymore-while they may not be as crazy as me they're all nuts so what the heck do I care what they think of me dipping my hand in the cookie jar? They're the ones slipping not me lol

Two places I expect to find them are two places that I avoid. The mall and the airport. I am going to be on the look out though because now I am curious. If I happen to find some rejects in these unicorns, all the better.

Let us know. I know we got on a tangent so if you open a new thread please let us know! They had them last time we dropped someone off at the airport but many were missing from the row of them.

And if anyone is from the northern Nevada area I'm curious if that lone pay phone is still out there on highway 50!

I check the coinstar at our local Walmart and have found some foreign coins. Boy I wish I had been a CRH back when slot machines used real coins. I lament all of the collectable coins that could have been.

Yes me as well. For some reason even though they play sounds I liked the real $$ better. Somehow the paper receipts don't give the same atmosphere.

I recently watched a person go through the process and noticed what I think is a new screen alerting the user to check the reject bin. I've only used CoinStar once myself and don't recall seeing that alert. Is this a new alert or am I just having another senior moment?

I've never used the machine but have read here that there is an alert.

I have used the machine a number of times and yes there is a screen telling you to check the reject bin.

I don't even use a coinstar machine. It's cheaper to cash in coins at the bank. Sometimes I check the slot to see if there are coins or not.

There is an alert, but it seems like there is still quite a few oblivious people around. Today I got a 1953 shilling of the scottish variety, so I'm pleased.

It needed to be done a long time ago, so I will finally do it. I am going to lock this thread and ask everyone to use the more popular Coinstar thread in the Coin Roll Hunting forum. http://goccf.com/t/128850
