Quote: I bet you could guess my vote Moe! ;-) SO true!! And Man, would I love to see them! And since these type of threads require you post ALL of your coins of that type, I think you might have lots a' picturin' to do!

These "days of" threads seem to take a lot of planning and logistics, and seem to last forever.... Have you considered shorter, classification type threads, like..... 'favorite coin'..... or coins with doubling...... or clashed coins...... or toned coins..... or error coins..... or coins with cracks, breaks and Cuds..... or counterfeit coins. Then there are coins with significant PMD..... or well worn coins (you know, the kind of coins that I have). These types of threads would not have specific time parameters, and as such, could be resurrected at anytime when someone acquires a new coin. I think that I just don't like being tied down to a particular date time frame..... (kinda like an appointment that I have to make).... structure is something that brings out the natural rebellion in me.... I might be alone in my thinking though.... I usually am.

I have a vested interest in threads like this which will become obvious in the near future. I would like to see copper next. Large Cents, from 1816. They're popular, easy to shoot, and available in stupid-high grades. In some cases.

Woodstock = Mesolithic period...... (zeewooL = 1981)
No, but I have read ancient history books about it.... Seems to have been some sort of Pagan ritual on the North American continent closely related to Druid sun worship in Europe and the Aztec sacrifices in South America (probably occurred shortly after the breakup of Pangaea).

The books are all we have, because nobody who was there remembers it.

OK, I think we have accomplished what I wanted out of this poll. Rest assured, if your coin type you voted for is not chosen this time for the "Days of" selection, it will be in the future. I thank everyone for posting their opinions.  The Next Coin Type to be featured in the "___ Days of" is the: (wait for it...) 65 Days of Old Copper!                   This will include all early US copper from Colonials, Fugios, and then on to Half Cents & Large Cents. (I know 65 days is a long time! You have to stay committed!) Proposed Schedule: Jan 17: Earlier then 1793 coins 18: 1793 19: 1794 20: 1795 21: 1796 22: 1797 23: 1798 24: 1799 25: 1800 26: 1801 27: 1802 28: 1803 29: 1804 30: 1805 31: 1806 1st of Feb: 1807 2: 1808 3: 1809 4: 1810 5: 1811 6: 1812 7: 1813 8: 1814 9: 1816 10: 1817 11: 1818 12: 1819 13: 1820 14: 1821 15: 1822 16: 1823 17: 1824 18: 1825 19: 1826 20: 1827 21: 1828 22: 1829 23: 1830 24: 1831 25: 1832 26: 1833 27: 1834 28: 1835 1st of Mar: 1836 2: 1837 3: 1838 4: 1839 5: 1840 6: 1841 7: 1842 8: 1843 9: 1844 10: 1845 11: 1846 12: 1847 13: 1848 14: 1849 15: 1850 16: 1851 17: 1852 18: 1853 19: 1854 20: 1855 21: 1856 22: 1857 Extravaganza!! This gives you plenty of time to figure out how your camera works, get your studio set up, go get the last Coppers you don't have, etc.! Let's make this the Best "Days of Coins" Ever!
