It does strike me that these are excellent reference pictures. Is there a section or a place to put them on the forum? By the by, at the bottom of the ebay page there is a link to pictures of a genuine (I hope) example of each coin.

Dear ebay Member, Thank you for writing ebay in regard to suspicious coin listings. Because ebay does not employ or train its Trust & Safety Customer Support Representatives to be experts in the area of coins and currency, we rely on expert opinions from knowledgeable people as well as reliable third party organizations. Your report will be reviewed by a group of members that comprise a community watch group for coin auctions. They then confer amongst themselves and either agree or disagree that the listings are problematic. If it is agreed that a listing(s) is fraudulent or improperly described, the listing(s) is then forwarded to ebay Trust and Safety for removal. Please be sure to check our Prohibited, Questionable & Infringing Items pages for information on ebay listing policies and guidelines: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/items-ov.htmlIf you received an informational alert or warning, and you have additional questions, or you have another listing to report, please contact us at the following link: http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-RS.htmlIn order for us to get to you in a timely manner, please do not respond to this email. If you reply to this message we will not receive your email. All communications should be sent to the link provided above. Again, thank you for your report. We appreciate your help in keeping ebay a safe and reputable forum to conduct business. Sincerely, ebay Customer Support

Earlier I got a email about doing a survey about the customer support for reporting this item (I got same response as you, Billie). I pretty much said that if ebay does not take care of this then maybe I should contact "other people of authority" who will get involved. Harsh but I think I got my point across.

I use to be one of those people they refer to in the reply, the Watch dog group for the prevention of forgery and Fraud in Numismatics for E-Bay, I have since with drawn from that service, I would scan the site and write about 'seedy' coins and really, NOTHING is done, I have seen in extreme circumstances, people shut down, only to find them open up again under another name and actually, as long as the seller is paying their fees, everyone turns a blind eye about the topic, money coming in, that's the bottom line, first hand knowledge, MONEY...........Seller's pay fee's and the bay sees it that the buyer does not, basically, if you do get a refund, if you took the bait, you were very lucky.......$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Buyer beware!

i really hate all these cheap fakes and reproductions! I never buy anything from ebay with foreign seller, or that looks to good to be true. the mint is kind of expensive on some stuff, but at least its all real!

It looks like a few dates were crudely tooled into individual dies. Honestly, if you see that horrible "2", and still bid--it's certainly your fault.

It might be better to educate people more. While I hate to see so many fakes out there and people still buying them, at some point the buyer should suffer the consequences. I mean some are so obvious, if you bid, you deserve what you get. People get greedy and think they can get a deal.

For the life of me, why do people bid on anything with "no returns accepted"? That alone should throw up a red flag. Unfortunately, ebay does not want to stop this or pursue it diligently so, we are just going to have to deal with it. I just wish there was a way to contact these bidders and explain to them what this is. Oh well, once a coin dealer tells them it's worthless, they will be educated instantly.

Quote: For the life of me, why do people bid on anything with "no returns accepted"? Because they are hoping for a rip, and they know that if it has a major problem or is a fake they can just do a "significantly not as described" claim and get both their bid and shipping back from Paypal/eBay. Even if the seller says no returns accepted.

The seller of all the lots that posted on this thread has made his/her feedback private, which it wasn't when those lots were noted a week or so ago... Now, why would someone hide 100% positive feedback? Especially on an account that was 8-9 years old?

NO THIS IS REDICULOUS It is being stuck in the middle. of there paying policies and the buyer who has to go through the crap when its known junk..as a buyer, the truth is subject to "NO HOLDS BARD" in there advertismeant and no responsibillity for what they post......... when the absolute theme.. is......its subjective,, the coin the grade, or any other term.... for what ever category they have... It simply means....your on your own......best advice is....research who you buy from and there return policy....
