Yes copper...once again you make my point and don't realize it...she does a service based on the customer's status, yet she doesn't know the actual costs...so how can she draw the line ? And then you point out that the guy picking up the coins gets paid regardless of the amount...so why not get extra for the Oblakas of the world ? Like another member once told you."You don't even know what you are argueing about".
I really get a chuckle out of this.

well and thirdly, your point is moot even if I operate on your assumptions, copper, because at the bank in question I am approaching that status. not quite there, but either way it's enough that providing me with something that costs them nothing should be of little worry to them.

OBLA its b/s

No bank gets all its coin from the customers.

Nonsense 100% . the bank orders what its needs to fill the gaps of what its lacking

You know it

Give me the banks phone number I'll call them right now let me ask them.

post the number i'll make sure the number rev look up matches the bank . then call and ask to speak with the manger about comming in and getting coin, then ask where they get the coins , how they get them and if they will be rolled or in bags inthe back.
then i'll ask her if they ever order coin.

You have given every excuse when someone post any reason why the bank would have a expense. Its like you're just making it up as you go. read your own post above that little list you gave me,. give me a break .

first off, like maine, I'm not sure i'd want you phoning anyone I do regular transactions of any kind with.

secondly, my dude, you're way out of line. next time i'll take a picture for you of the 1000.00 in CWR dimes WHICH ALL have the x-ed out account numbers of the members who turned them in.

what do you think? that my bank likes to write in and cross out fake account numbers on ordered coin so that it looks like CWR?

third, what other expenses related to coin are there aside from ordering it and shipping it out? even if I were lying, there isn't a laundry list of excuses for me to come up with that would absolve me of costing them money.

fourth, I'm sure they do actually order a couple boxes here and there but I have never received them. it's always been customer stuff, which leads me to believe that generally they have no need to order anything.

oblaka...let me point out that at one time he argued with me like this against collecting copper pennies and that the 99 WAM's were common. Now I see him telling people exactly what I told him on those issues. That's why I believe he argues just to be right...without knowing any facts.

maineman ,

the day your bank opened how did it stock its drawer with change?

did your bank say SORRY WE DONT HAVE ANY CHANGE UNTILL WE COLLECT IT FROM CUSTOMERS I cant cash your check
thats nonsense

So obla
you're saying all he had to do was walk in the back and get your change
YOU JUST SAID THEY DONT ORDER CHANGE ?
EVER THINK THEY WERE RUNNING LOW AND SAID NO FOR A REASON ?

I do not know your real name or adress.

I'm gonna call and say hey I need to get 500$ in dimes can I come get them then i'll ask if they can order me some.
I'll audio tape the conversation and post in online for anyone that wants to hear it.

Someone is lying here its ether you or you untill WE ALL HEAR WHAT THE BANK SAYS !

sheesh, you are incouragable. no I'm not lying. but I also did not say that it was altogether clear why I was turned down. that's what your missing here. it could very well be that they had already sent out their excess change and they couldn't afford to give any away that day. that's not what's being debated here, and just like this point you've missed most of the others. I don't really care to debate you. I think I see how you got all your 700 some posts here.

That may be true for the vast majority of banks but the financial entity being discussed here is a Credit Union and that is SOP for the several CUs I have dealt with.

ok obla ,

The guy walks in the vualt comes out said he asked his manger, manger said no.

Did the guy see you pulling up and ask his manger were running low do I give this guy change if he ask ?

Did the manger say " hey if were running low on change no excess change to be given out today"

You dont know what happened from the time you pulled up in the parking lot till the time you asked the teller.

If the manager was there at the desk like you say he was , why didn't you just ask the manager?
Why the sudden shyness?

Well i'll leave you be to soak in your thoughts of " why didn't I get change this week "

The manager was there you didnt ask so you will never know.......
