Hennings can be found on ebay but I have to admit I watch for them and I haven't seen any for quite a while. Usually they are on as 1944 no P nickels. But I have also seen them as 1944 no mintmark nickel or 1944 Henning nickel. If the word counterfeit is in the posting ebay pulls the lot before it finishes because of their policy on counterfeits.

but if it is posted as counterfeit, wouldn't that be legal & legit? ebay doesn't exactly have a reputation for taking off all counterfeits...

Their offical policy is to remove counterfit coins, even if they are clearly marked as such in the listing. They do allow replicas and copy coins to be sold if the coins are defaced with the words copy or replica. -XoG

I've seen them sold on ebay. I'd love to own one. I've started searching nickel boxes for this purpose. They are legal to own and sell, but I haven't seen enough sales to understand appropriate sale price.

they are around though.....pyrbob has a bunch of the '44s alone. I think I saw it somewhere where they estimate a couple hundred thousand Hennings were put out by him before he got caught. I've been looking for awhile but so far no luck

Dean, I would like to see a photo of the 1953 henning you found. You have to use a photo editing program to resize the image before you try to post it here. Please try again.
