8 of the rolls of dimes is where all the silver were

now if 8 rolls of the 50+ rolls of quarters have mostly silver

that would be a score

Congrats on the find, Wild Bill. Do you ever come up to Montreal for rolls?

i have 2 F's on my report card, plus 3 DUI's, so in your country I would have 5 F's

so the last time I was in canada was to the Granby zoo when I was 8 years old, 35 years ago

the price we have to pay when we finally grow up and act the right way

Very nice find... it's amazing how many folks don't know what they have when they go to the bank.
I have a coin shop, and just last year one of the teller's at my bank called me to ask what she should do with a fellow at her window with 23 $1,000 bills.... wow what a fun day that was... for the guy, for the teller, and for a couple of our customers....

Nice one, Wild Bill! Did you ask the teller if they came from one person or are they just a hoard of coins the bank has kept from various customers?

Wild Bill, I've only dreamed of something like your find. I searched through 60 dollars of nickel rolls and all I found was one 1904 five cent piece.

Has anyone ever bough rolls of american quarters to search through to find any silver? Any success?

NickleHalfDime to answer your question first, I didn't want the bank to know my motives for the coin, but some of the banks on the border now pull Canadian coin and some roll it up with American coin, this one bank has pulled it or has taken Canadian coin in from someone and held it in the vault. There are 3 bank branches that hoard the coin to their main branch and I go there once a month and buy the coin.

samboyellowsub to answer your question, .900 silver in quarters is for me a tough find anymore and I don't find it worth my time, maybe post a new topic and get others to share their experience

rustyboy, I just drove through sheldon this morning go back to the bank I found in st albans, you are just a hour away.......coool
