Much better. Very cool! That's a really nice struck-through. It looks like it only retained the image of the debris and not the debris itself, but I hope I'm wrong. If you do find one with any type of debris still attached - don't remove it! Nice score!

Nice! Too bad the object isn't still in there.

Any thoughts on it's value...other than it's copper?

I would say in the $10 and up range. The coin has a lot of color which is also a plus.

I used the technique at maddieclashes.com and came up with something for you: ID marks and Devices match up pretty close, did the best I could with the photos (Had to re-size, and accommodate for the angles the pics were taken at, as well as how I cropped them), So this is in no way a perfect explanation, but I couldn't help myself taking your pics and trying it out, hope you don't mind? First: Second: (removed this image because I had it set up wrong) I think there's a little more to it possibly. Haven't done the reverse but I thought this was pretty cool. Either way it's a nice find Hoosier, if you think there's any legitimacy to what I've done to your photos then think about shooting it to these guys: http://www.maddieclashes.com/New_Custom_1.html Let me know what happens if you do submit it, I love what they are doing over there, Very cool stuff.

I am not sure what those overlays are supposed to prove, this has nothing to do with clashed dies. It was struck through a thread from a cleaning rag/cloth. Quote: Who collects these here? me I always love a unique struck through coin, seeing individual fibers is a huge plus.

You mean there are people that don't collect these?

biokemist6: I'm not sure what your post is supposed to prove either? Is anyone disputing that it's struck through?
I do see obvious traces of the reverse that are on the obverse, and vice/versa, apparently you don't? I'm going to revise that second overlay (I removed the original one as it was set up wrong) as well as complete the reverse.

I dont see ANY signs of a clash on this coin!. Nice strike through though. Maybe some kind of string

I agree with bio. The thread impressions ROCK and add some more value to the coin. I could see it going to $20+ because of that.

The threads make this one fascinating--do I see a few in the forehead too?
