Now that's the best wood coin I have ever seen. How big is it?

That is an amazing piece of true art. How long does it take you to make one of those?

Biggrassboy, I just love your craftmanship, it's a Masterpiece!

p.s.: would you perhaps consider putting a "dot" by the 7 to make it extra special? (at least for me....................I'm a huge fan of the '47 Dot series and currently own them all in I.C.C.S.>MS-64, except the $ which is MS-60)

Glenn

That piece of artwork is awesome. I've seen something like that done with sports teams but to be able to carve out all the letters and pictures to such detail is unreal. A real pro at work!

BGB .. Show-Off (again). Your coins are (and always have been) great. You should repost the Vicky that Rob has again, for those that are just now seeing some of your work. BiB

I work at it over about a month's time, but it probably is about 50 hours from start to finish. Alot of the pieces I sand by hand while watching a movie or tv. The dime and others all have the same 'depth' of about half an inch or so. Here is a photo of the queen I had done about a year ago. This one was very detailed and as it was going to a coin collector, I did my best to make it as accurate as possible. Often I looked at a real coin through a loop, to make sure I had the depth right.

The Victorian portrait is still my favorite, the amount of detail in the hair is incredible.
Someday if you want to, I'll hope you to do a nice easy one for me: 1967 25c reverse. One of my favorite coin designs of all time.
