Unfortunately nobody in my immediate surroundings cares about them...which means there's no heir to my growing numismatic empire.

My kids 7 and 10 used to have a slight interest even my daughter still wants to tear up a roll!
My mrs is a teller and shows not a whole lot of interest in my hobby, but she does her best by bringing home multiple rolls of solid silver halves, solid roll of steel wheats, silver dimes, and a sweet dump bank set-up. Can't ask for much more.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
Roll hunting since '77
Dirt fishing since '72

My girlfriend doesn't seem to mind it. She even humors me by asking questions about what I learned after I come home from a coin shop lol. I'm still trying to think of the best way to recruit her. My friend on the other hand doesn't want to get sucked in. We'll see how he feels when an album and a bank box of pennies shows up at his door.

I tried to share it as well, my wife will occasionally sort some coins so I can check them faster (I think she hates how much space it takes up), my mom really likes the fact I got into coin collecting. I am not sure why. My sister calls me a nerd and laughs at me, but than my wife tells her remember you are talking to one of the luckiest guys in the world so when he does find that $$$ coin you aren't going to be laughing. That usually shuts her up.

my wife thinks I'm nerdy and ridiculous, but after she saw me searching through a box of pennies she wanted to help. not whenever I get a box she wants to do at least half. she sorts coppers for me and always gets excited to find a wheat. great teammate I must say. we just finished a box like 7 minutes ago.

My husband and I are both roll searchers. I do nickels and he does cents.

I'm just wondering if there are other teams out there.

My wife and I have a similar thing going.

I search half dollars....she spends them!

My fiancee knows to sort through her
pocket change at the end of the day
However, she enjoys making fun of me while I am sorting through
rolls at the dining room table. Don't worry it is all in good fun.

My wife used to go through rolls with me but not anymore. We used to compete against eachother seeing who finds the best stuff. She holds the record for nickels I must say. A Brink box 5 Buffalo nickels in one roll.

My mother gives me a hand opening rolls of halves for me when I search. She don't care much for it but her preparing all the rolls while I search eliminates a lot of time.

I tried to convince my brother, who lives in an area hard hit by the recession to give it a try, but he is not interested.

I think maybe a visit is in order later this year.

My daughter does check for WAM's now and she knows to keep the coppers for me.I put a WAM in a bowl of 200+ pennies to help her hone her skills and it only took 5 minutes for her to find it. She is not real interested in keeping the varieties but she does have a collection of the foreign stuff she has found through the years...her favorite being the Bermuda pig cent.

My wife and three daughters think I'm a complete nerd for looking at pennies. My son seemed to show some interest, but we're 2,000 miles apart. So, I'm an outcast in my home. *sob*
