Except in this case you would have a very hard time convincing anyone of the date. It would take a real nerd like me who knows all the little tiny things to look for in order to ascertain the date.

Right Coppercoins...but wouldn't you love to confirm the error AND attribute the variety?

Only if the last digit of the date is legible would it make any difference.

And frankly - I've never been all that excited about the WAM thing.

Personally, I'd be a little bummed if I had a WAM Struck Through Grease - especially a '99.

Are WAM's even worth collecting? I've yet to see anyone buying them and as of right now there is like 2-3 on ebay.

I hear ya Copper. Why are you down on the variety? I've seen you say that before?

Scooby-I agree

Ninja-no they are not collectible...just send any you find to me. I'll make sure to dispose of them.

You might need to learn how to search, there are 30 listed right now. And check the completed listings to see how much they are bringing.

I'm definitely collecting them.Have 23 right now.

Yeah, I guess in hindsight I probably shouldn't have included 1998 as that weeded out the majority.

Amida17 - I'm not really "down" on the variety - just not really interested in them. I prefer die varieties - something that really looks different from a "normal" coin without it having to be pointed out...yet something that can be cataloged and collected as a set. We all have our favorite things to collect, research, study, and teach.

It was not really a hijack since I would like to learn more about WAM. :)
