Here's a interesting 64-D I found. Seems a wide crack or lamination goes all the way down under the bust. Can't find it at coppercoins.com. Any ideas?

Now thats what I call a nice RPM. Nice spread eazy to see very collectable

I'm not to keen of these repunch mintmarks where it takes a forsenic scientist with a 20x loop to prove it's there

RPM... mmm. Need to look that up I guess. In Peace Vams, we don't use that term. Some type of revolustion?

What do you make of this. Is it a RPM? Machine Doubling? Double Die? It's a 64-D

Your 64 D has machine, mechanical, or Strike Doubling (depending on the term you prefer). Notice the flat, shelf-like appearance of the doubled letters/memorial? Its a dead give away.

Peaceman- I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of the Cherrypicker's Guide to Rare Die Varieties. It'll give you an excellent overview of what types of varieties to look for and has several chapters geared towards those who are inclined to learn about the many aspects of our incredible hobby. Your enthusiasm is awesome and will take you a long ways!
