That was fast lol. I was on my way home after lunch to answer. Opps too late hehe. I thought we were only debt free for a few days in 1835 and had a very nominal size debt during the close of 35 and 36. Either way, still debt free those two years in my mind.

Now, the result:

Darth Anarchus got the first 2 parts right.
Wei Fun got the last part right. ***ONly 3 mins latter***

Technically Darth Anarchus will be the only one to win the 1940s era LWC in MS condition prize but since I like Wei Fun answer to the 3rd part. I will also give Wei Fun the same prize.

Here are the pictures of the two prizes. Darth Anarchus will have the first choice (either the left or the right coin):
National-Debt-Contest
National-Debt-Contest

The package was sealed long ago and I didn't open either so I don't know the condition of each coin inside. I only based off of the handwriting of the person (which is accurate, based on other similar package that I've opened).... one thing for sure is that they will be toned (sulfur from the paper bag).... SO: each of you will carry half of the package.

Here's my intended grand prize, which I will have to hold on for the time being:
National-Debt-Contest
National-Debt-Contest

The rest of the responders will receive one 82-D Small Date MS Zinc cent (more valuable than LD though - mis-posted - sorry).

Everyone please email me your mailing address.

I feel happy today (did my tax on time this year).....

wolf-n-wa: Yeah, these guys are quick. I am wondering if they remembered their HS history or they just listened to NPR like me this morning..... Btw, since you've posted before my final instruction, but after my "contest closed", you will have to send me $0.41 postage cost for your coin.... hehehehe .... j/k. I got your address.

As a note to everyone, I really want to buy the set of ATB from APMEX so if I get a confirmed purchase from them, I will throw another contest. SO, keep checking back in a couple days or so.

Thank You SilentAsian4Hire, a good close(very close)contest that is a great topic... I went for the one on the right, as it is scary close to my birthdate, although way off on the year...

Thanks again, I couldn't be happier with it. I would grade it as an MS-66... It's new home is in a Mylar flip with the envelope in the other side of the flip...

I am so glad that it turn out good. That envelope tell the history/origin of the coin.

I don't know you, but I think a little Verdi-Care would help remove some of the "dust" particles on the surface and help "protect" it.....
