I'm still wondering what grade decent, excellant, great conditions are equal to. I know I use those terms on items donated to the Salvation Army. Wonder if that is where he got those from. Quote: Water Environment Association of Texas Does that organization make coins? We all may be making fun of this add but note that the prices are all NEGOTABLE.

In his ad, why is "bicentennial" spelled correctly?
He's raisin' funds to upgrade from a single-wide to a double-wide.

The scary part is, a lot of people out there really think that they have a gold mine in coins, and don't know no better. I run across friends that have coins and think they are worth something just because they are 20 or 30 years old. Of course I explain to them how the value really works in a short version. They are all amazed and a little let down. Big Ed
(...Didnt really want to sell any of them, but times have gotten too rough...)

I've had some very similar situations as biged239. I've had friends and relatives who have modern coins. They go to coin value books and websites and figure their coin is shiny, so must be valued somewhere near the 'top' of price figures. In reality, they won't get more than face value in their lifetime.
Kinda reminds me the first time I looked in a coin values book when I was 11.....
I'm glad some dealer let me down easy early on.
