If you saying this is what they are offering to buy 90% silver coins for, then I think it is a bit low. Estimate that is around 82% of melt value assuming ailwer is at $47.58 per ounce.

So more information is needed.

If you're selling, that's a lousy offer. I buy and sell silver on a small scale, and I'll pay at least 32x face at this time.

Not bad really. 90% silver at spot is almost 34x face value. 6x split is a little tought...they are making $3 per 50 cent piece...so...that is a little bit too hight of a split.

Should be in the 29-30x face buy price. Silver is up a touch again today.

My coin store was also buying at 28x and was not selling. I was just asking, but I thought it was a bit low.

The local shop I go to is buying at 30X face.

One thing to consider, not all shops are the same. Some sell all the items they
bring in right at the same location.

They may have to hold on to the coins for days or weeks before can re-sell.
I know it does not seem like it is going to happen anytime soon but if prices
take a dip they could get caught with a lot of coins they paid to much for.

Other shops may send/sell the coins they take in to bigger bullion dealers.
Sending coins out will be more cost, shipping and insurance.

I think 29 or 30 times face is a fair price for a coin shop to be buying
silver coins right now .. at today's melt price.

Guys, that is a low offer. This person could sell it to APMEX and get 32-33x per face value!! There are people paying spot on local craigslist as well!

You need to look at the AMPEX silver post. They're paying a premium.

I thought John1 was talking "coin shop"

Did not see where he was talking about AMPEX or craigslist.

I was just responding as to what to expect at a coin shop.

Not quite. As of 4/25 after market close, APMEX has their buy price listed at 31.5x face but that is for $1000 face($31,524.35 to be exact) and lesser amounts would have a lower buy price. You also have to add in the shipping to APMEX which could be upwards of $20 or more with insured Registered Mail.
