I still haven't seen any FR2's designated MS70. I may be wrong but even SGS might be able to tell the difference

Alright, just need to get some posts so that one day I'll have enough to not be called a newbie. Funny though.

I actually saw a Morgan in a SGS slab graded AU something another and the first thing that crossed my mind is how mad looking did a Morgan have to be to be called n AU by them. Wish I had saved the picture now

I just looked at the SGS website and it says "Our experts have over 100 combined years dealing with rare and valuable coins.
America's new Grading Service."

They need to all go back to grading school. By they I mean him and his dog in the garage. He must be 100 years old!

Hey, the obverse rally isn't bad.

If it's not too scuffed up under the eye and the reverse is as nice it could be a solid MS-66 which is an in the money grade. These often come tarnished now days so improving it would be difficult.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Boy this has been fun

I really have never seen anything from SGS that was less then ms70. Soooo, I wanted to see if anyone would figure out that this photo was doctored. Just for the record, this slab, for sale on ebay, was graded and ms70. Given it is a 1969 made it really easy to photo shop it to an ms69 for a few head scratches, laughs, education, and intrigue.

I've been busy the past month and missed the forum so a prank was my way of saying

Haha!

That makes the slab look even more pathetic :P lol!

I wonder how many poor souls were fooled by this grading "company"
