Got a couple that I am now unloading on ebayNoticed that there is a very large variation in the glass ladybug between coins, some have disproportion spots, some are orange as oppose to red, some lob-sided... might keep one to keep the missus happy but, not too happy about the inconsistencies in quality

Inconsistencies in quality, or totally unique pieces? Those new coins with niobium in them are each unique. z

I received mine today and I was amazingly surprised. This is a beauty and I am very happy with the purchase.
The finish is still has the heavy grit blast but also with a lacquer giving its relief an odd, lustrous feel. This same technique was used on the 2007 proof loonie and 1 cent for example.

Quote: ...uniqueness...
I understand that variations attribute to the uniqueness but not variations in quality. These ladybugs come with 3 dark spots on each half of its shell. Variations in positioning of the dots makes each unique, but when all the dots on one side is 3 times the size of all the dots on the other, I call that a drop in quality.
There was another one where the center black line is skewed a third to the left and splayed into two lines. Unique? well...
