Got a couple that I am now unloading on ebayNoticed that there is a very large variation in the glass ladybug between coins, some have disproportion spots, some are orange as oppose to red, some lob-sided... might keep one to keep the missus happy but, not too happy about the inconsistencies in quality |

Inconsistencies in quality, or totally unique pieces? Those new coins with niobium in them are each unique. z

I received mine today and I was amazingly surprised. This is a beauty and I am very happy with the purchase.
The finish is still has the heavy grit blast but also with a lacquer giving its relief an odd, lustrous feel. This same technique was used on the 2007 proof loonie and 1 cent for example.

I understand that variations attribute to the uniqueness but not variations in quality. These ladybugs come with 3 dark spots on each half of its shell. Variations in positioning of the dots makes each unique, but when all the dots on one side is 3 times the size of all the dots on the other, I call that a drop in quality.
There was another one where the center black line is skewed a third to the left and splayed into two lines. Unique? well...

I doubt that you will find one at the Post Office but if you do and the price is $139 or $169 then GRAB IT!
