I looked at the AMS model, it seems that the scale's precision is at 0.1g not 0.01g as skwca wanted. I've had great use and precision on the one I bought from Harbor Freight Tools for about $13. SAFE Designer Touch Screen Scale

I saw one model at WSco that was about $115.

I had a AWS brand 0.1g 500gram scale which served me well for 3+ years, I took it on many trips nationally and internationally until I dropped it from about 5 feet up.

I decided it was the perfect oppurtunity to upgrade to a 0.01g so bought this one ebay # 200428737110 AMW SM-501 Jewelry Scale 500g x 0.01g ct ozt dwt BLUE for about $35.00.

I also got a 500gram calibration scale for about $15. The only thing I miss is having a flip up cover style versus this one that's just a magnetic cover that you have to completely remove each time.

The other brand I know is popular is digiweigh.

All I need now is a good digital caliper and my coin kit is ready.

I purchased one from Walmart. I step on it, weigh myself, place some coins in my hands and re-weigh myself and subtract the difference.
I too wanted such a 0.01 Gram scale some time back and looked for a long time. Then I found a jewlery supply house and got one there for about $20. No postage, handling, insurances, etc. Of course with the price of gasoline today, I wouldn't suggest driving around looking for such places.
Odd thing is when I first got that one, I tried it out on all sorts of coins, put it away and never touched it since.

I bought mine on ebay (similar to the one in the link above). It was a "BIN" from China. I received it in less than a week. I won it on Sunday and received it on Friday.

this aws is 0.01g http://www.americanweigh.com/produc...ucts_id=1895 .l If you type in AC-100 scale into the ebay search you can find them for about $20.00 with free shipping on there.

There are quite a few on ebay that meet the 0.01g requirement you asked for ranging from around 10 bucks on up and some auctions less than that http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=0....0.m270.l1313

I use the DigiWeigh DW-100AS.

It has only 100 gram capacity, but the accuracy is to 0.01 grams. I chose accuracy over the amount of weight it can hold. Because I weigh single coins, I will never really even need the full 100 gram capacity. You can pick this up for $20.

Cool! I actually like it a lot and it was pretty cheap. I actually got it for like $15. I bought a different model on ebay but the seller ran out, so they offered a $5 discount if I wanted this model instead. I'm actually very happy with it.
