What Else Do You Collect?

I also collect 54mm and 60mm plastic toy soldiers and the tin lithographed western theme buildings that came in the Marx, Superior, and Ideal playsets of the 50's and 60's.

Coins, cameras, and rifles. The oddball in the collection - rifles. I don't collect them just to store, I use them.

just carl, thanks for the info. I actually have several of their molds. When I was in Jr High school in the stone age we would sneak into the local sheriff shooting range near where I lived and sift through the sand bunker that served as a backstop and make off with all the lead we could carry. We would then melt it down and cast soldiers under the "not so watchful" eye of his dad who constantly told us if the lead fumes didn't kill us we would die in jail as convicted felons. When my son came along I purchased some new molds and started buying all the junk pewter I could find at swap meets, thrift stores and yard sales. We used it to cast a new army of soldiers but they all belong to my son. Great hobby, but stay away from the true lead casting, too dangerous.

Hmm, nothing else. I do spend time playing tennis, golf and camping.

I collect gems and minerals,fossils,autographs of all kinds,sports cards,mostly baseball,but not really actively now except the cards I send off to be autographed,stamps,until they became more like stickers,and ,as many of you know,old coin wrappers imprinted with bank names. My coin roll collection stands at just over 50 different banks,many of which no longer exist. If any of you come across wrappers with names imprinted that you don't want,give me a holler.

When I was maybe 8 yrs old, I collected movie star cards; kinda like baseball cards, gum and all. Star's picture on the front, bio & movies on the back. Very exciting for a youngster, guessing they don't make them anymore.

I collect vinyl LPs. I think vinyl has a better sound than CDs. My faves that I have are Rolling Stones and Zeppelin and Segovia. Add Bose speakers and the sound is unbeleivable!
