Quote: I think because of the flash and the white background you cannot see the whole. I am goign to let it go because I think I see the hole now. Seller should have said there was a hole Yes this is definitely one of those times when the seller could have been more responsible about their listing and mentioned the holed coin in description. The way the picture is, no one would have thought there was a holed coin in the mix. We all started looking for the hole only after we were told one of them could have a hole. One can surely argue for and against the seller in this type of thing. But if there are no consequences for this, then we will keep seeing poor descriptions, and even poorer pictures on ebay. I'd say give a positive feedback, but at least cut a few stars off the item description DSR.

I have no problem being blocked from a bidder who doesn't describe the items that he offers on ebay. Keeps me from accidentally bidding on that persons items again later.

Would it greatly matter that one of the dimes in a lot of junk 90% silver lot had a hole in it? Probably not, unless the hole took out a large chink of the coin affecting its total metal %. You knew you were not buying collectible condition coins, but paying strictly for the metal content, a $100 is spot on for $3.55 FV. Yes, the seller could have been more descriptive, but he's selling the silver only, the condition of the coins is almost beside the point. You also could have asked before you pulled the trigger, but the seller does state that some coins have glue residue, which in my mind means damaged and uncollectible. This was simply a bullion value listing for bullion buyers only, not for coin collectors, and to expect otherwise is to do yourself and the seller a disservice.

I don't see how posting a negg would be bad. The seller sold you something he didn't describe and the coin certainly doesn't look like any of the ones in the picture I can't see how it's crazy that someone would negg him I also agree with the comment that just because he offered a refund doesn't make it right when I buy something at a store and its a piece of garbage yeah I take it back but I don't buy from that company anymore and I will tell everyone how crummy of an item I bought seems like the thing to do idk my 2 cents

Yeah, I changed my mind about that. How about you swap a coin on me, I'll leave you negative feedback (since I can't do it after a return, and noone else should have to go through it without haveing been informed) and then you can block me. And I don't appreciate the question of my integrity, especially since you think it is ok to either swap coins (which is what happened in my case) or not mention a flaw as significant as a hole.

I merely took you up on your offer..your integrity speaks for itself. I just happen to believe what SuperDave posted on the issue and want to avoid buyers that do not...it was a very simple and non threatening request.

Well, sorry for holding people accountable. Should have done that with our government a long time ago.

Now we have some common ground....I believe that is our biggest problem with government But I also believe that sellers should be allowed to correct mistakes without getting negs...as they say "stuff happens"...some of us are old, forgetful,or just miss things. But,when a seller refuses to make things right, I say "hang em high".

Fair enough....I will try to be more considerate of that. I just hope that others will be more considerate of others time as well.

I think what the OP did was the right way to handle this situation. Not enough silver value to complain about and he probably just made a mistake. If not, he did offer a refund. I do not think that would warrant a negative feedback. While a buyer may leave whatever feedback he/she feels the seller deserves, IMO, a negative should only be left if the seller does not make you whole, no pun intended, i.e. a full refund, substitute etc.
