Looks great, daviscfad! Sorry that your coin has issues. I see it's still for sale on US Mint, so hopefully they'll be able to replace. Anyone try to return one of these 5-oz'ers yet?

Gorgeous, coinaholic! I guess mine isn't going to make it today. Still on a truck or plane somewhere. Curses!

I got two boxes from the mint today, Mail man was kind enough to bring them up, I thought for sure one would be the big boy. But only bags of Olympic quarters. Don't you know not 5min after mail men left, UPS pulls up and drops off another mint box with my Yosemite inside. I was so happy. Quick question I'm showing two perfect round dimples on the obverse of my coin no bigger than the a fourth of a BB. Its perfectly pressed into the coin, no surface marks or metal flowing around it. would this hold it back from getting a perfect score or SP-70, you cant see it in the scan really, Looks like a BB got pushed into the coin a quarter of the way. Leaving a perfect indent. It had to be done during minting, Its too clean and flush. Well someone with a good monitor and high graphic card might be able to see them let me know please. 1st one is just under Georges Chin right under where the gobble meets the chin. The other is off the right side of the Y in Liberty just above where the single line splits into the V. Thanks again. And their a lot smaller than a BB maybe the size of tip of a fine ball point pen.

Coinaholic Beauty! Daviscfad I feel your pain. I don't know if they even have anymore of these left so what would they swap out with, or do they just refund your money? Blasted @#*# holes. I had to open my mouth and say I've been happy with the quality thus far. But all in all, If their are no more I'm still happy! Hey no finger prints right lol

Quote: I don't know if they even have anymore of these left... There are still Yosemites for sale on the US Mint site. But if they sell out and then you return...I guess your only choice is refund and try to buy from 2ndary market. Or apply that as 1/10th of the 1 oz. platinum eagle.

Argh...Renovating the house and missed it twice. After two attempts does UPS hold it for pickup?

UPS used to hold for a week at the local distribution center after three delivery attempts in my city, but not anymore. You have to call within the delivery attempt period to hold for pick up, otherwise they will automatically return to the shipper as undeliverable.

Yeah...I have all my US Mint stuff (especially big-ticket items like these pucks) delivered to my place of work now. They don't care, and since I'm in IT, I get lots of stuff delivered to my attention every day anyway, so it easily gets lost in the mix. Way better than having it sit in my mailbox or front porch until I get home from work. Also, for the wine club shipments, it's much better than having to be home for a 21+ signature... hehe (Well, I'd certainly rather be home, but you know what I mean)
I realize not everyone has that option, but these things aren't cheap. Definitely worth a little extra effort to have them delivered to a secure place.

Opened mine up. Looks perfect after a quick glance. There are always some fuzzies on the capsules that scare me, but a quick wipe removes them. This was the first of the three that have come reverse-up, which was nice.
I hate to say it but I really like this set. Guess my pocketbook is going to have to suck it up for the next 10 years.

its not bad but noticeable. I called them and they cant guarantee I get another one. So I guess its a gamble if I return it. Might Call and see if I can buy another one to guarantee one for me
